Nicoletta Andreuccetti is a composer, sound artist and researcher. Her poetics is characterized by a constant focus on the perceptive and expressive-communicative dimension of sound, through the exploration of the different intermedial spaces of artistic performance with acoustic instruments, live-electronics, fixed media, sound spatialization, and audio visual.
She studied piano, electronic music and composition with Ivan Fedele, attending masterclasses with Hugues Dufourt, Salvatore Sciarrino and Helmut Lachenmann. Subsequently, she obtained a PhD in musicology from the Universities of Tours and Pavia with a thesis on the application of synthesis by physical models to compositional practices (Composing with physical models between abstraction and realism. Tools, practice and languages of the virtual).
In 2009, she won the 1st prize at the International Electroacoustic Music Competition Musica Nova in Prague with S’i fosse foco II, for female voice and electronics, which was recorded by Barbara Zanichelli for Nova Music Edition. In March 2012, she won the 1st prize at the Utrecht Dutch Harp Composition Contest with Mouvements selected, also, for the International Gaudeamus Music Week 2012 and performed by Gwyneth Wentink. The 56th Festival of Contemporary Music of the Biennale di Venezia (2012) has commissioned to her Figurazioni dell’invisibile for Architecture Sonora’s sound interactive installation.
In May 2013, she was composer in residence in the Steinhardt Department of Music and Performing Arts at New York University for the realization of Dall’oscuro II, for bass clarinet and live electronics, performed at the Frederick Loewe Theatre in New York. In the same year, in collaboration with the artist Nicholas Naughton, has participated with her work Shadows at the multimedia installation Disaster of War in The New Horizons Music Festival at the University Art Gallery of Truman State University, USA (Missouri). For the project Alla Battaglia! (2014), in collaboration with Umbra Lucis Ensemble and the RSI (Radio-Television Italian Switzerland broadcast), she wrote Del Visibile dell’Invisibile inspired by the lost Leonardo Da Vinci’s fresco on the battle of Anghiari, for six voices and fifteen renaissance instruments.

Nicoletta Andreuccetti teaches Electroacoustic Music Composition at the Cesena Conservatory of Music ‘Bruno Maderna’.
Nicoletta Andreuccetti è compositrice e ricercatrice. La sua poetica è improntata a una costante attenzione alla dimensione percettiva ed espressivo-comunicativa del suono, attraverso l’esplorazione dei diversi spazi intermediali della performance artistica con gli strumenti acustici, il live-electronics, il fixed media, la spazializzazione del suono, l’audio visual.
Ha studiato pianoforte, musica elettronica e composizione con Ivan Fedele, frequentando master classes con Hugues Dufourt, Salvatore Sciarrino e Helmut Lachenmann. In seguito, ha conseguito il Dottorato di Ricerca in musicologia all’Università di Tours e di Pavia con una tesi sull’applicazione della sintesi per modelli fisici alle pratiche compositive (Comporre con i modelli fisici tra astrazione e realismo. Strumenti, pratica e linguaggi del virtuale).
Nel 2009, ha vinto il primo premio assoluto all’International Electroacoustic Music Competition Musica Nova in Praga con S’i fosse foco II, per voce femminile ed elettronica, inciso da Barbara Zanichelli per Nova Music Edition. Nel marzo del 2012, ha vinto il primo premio assoluto all’Utrecht Dutch Harp Composition Contest con Mouvements anche selezionato per l’International Gaudeamus Music Week 2012 con l’esecuzione di Gwyneth Wentink. Il LVI Festival di Musica Contemporanea la Biennale di Venezia (2012) le ha commissionato Figurazioni dell’invisibile per l’installazione interattiva di Architecture Sonora.
Nel Maggio del 2013, è stata composer in residence allo Steinhardt Department of Music and Performing Arts at New York University per la realizzazione di Dall’oscuro II, per clarinetto basso e live electronics, eseguito al Frederick Loewe Theatre in New York. Nello stesso anno, in collaborazione con l’artista Nicholas Naughton, ha partecipato con il suo lavoro Shadows all’installazione multimediale Disaster of War in The New Horizons Music Festival at the University Art Gallery of Truman State University, USA (Missouri). Per il progetto Alla Battaglia! (2014) in collaborazione con Umbra Lucis Ensemble e la RSI (Radio-Televisione Svizzera italiana) ha scritto Del Visibile dell’Invisibile, brano ispirato all’affresco perduto della Battaglia di Anghiari di Leonardo Da Vinci, per sei voci e quindici strumenti rinascimentali.
