Mouvements costituisce una riflessione sulla diversità, un unico suono che cerca disperatamente di divenire udibile. Il brano richiede all’arpista di suonare accordi e ‘gesti’ per la maggior parte del pezzo. Da questa intenso percorso di drammatizzazione, in prossimità della fine, emerge una melodia. La citazione, proprio nel finale, di un frammento della Sequenza per arpa di Berio, con la sua sonorità immateriale e ‘liquida’ assolve simbolicamente alla funzione di rappresentare la possibilità di una interazione nuova con il mondo. L’armonia terrena che ha iniziato il brano ha ormai compiuto un percorso di ‘purificazione’ per raggiungere una sonorità altra, più spirituale e purificata. È dal continuo confrontarsi con la diversità che alimentiamo la nostra linfa vitale: questa citazione rappresenta la memoria come riminiscenza, come indispensabile strumento di creazione per costruire un nuovo presente.

Mouvements represents a reflexion on diversity, through a unique sound that tries desperately to be heard. The piece requires the harpist to play only chords and other different gestures for most of the piece. From a series of “dramatic” movements, a melody with traditional notes emerges just at the end. The quote of Berio’s Sequence fulfils this role: their harmonic sounds, with their immaterial and light sonorities, represent a new perspective to interact with the world. The real, concrete harmony that starts the piece has to cross a difficult path to reach a new and more spiritual and mindful harmony. It’s from the confrontation of diversity that we have new life: this quote represents memory and from memory we find new light.
